Overview

Our engineers have experience and expertise in building and deploying large scale distributed applications and Web-scale optimization technologies. We are searching to find a stellar Statistical Programmer to provide the software and data support for the iterative development of new optimization algorithms.

Role and Responsibilities

Broadly speaking, this Programmer will engage in

*Data handling -- including querying, transforming, cleaning and plotting
*Programming in R/Splus, Python/Numpy, or other scripting languages like Matlab.
*Algorithm testing including data validation, data integrity, parameter tuning
*Statistical modeling, prediction, forecasting (must have experience)
*Optimization, reinforcement learning, Bayesian models (very nice to have)
*Quantitative marketing, online marketing (experience with this is beneficial)
*Design of Experiments, Hypothesis testing (required)

Professional Experience and Personal Qualities

*This Programmer must have excellent abilities with Statistical software (R or Splus), at least 5+ years of experience. Also, the role requires at least 3+ years of experiences with SQL.
*Advantageous experience includes
- Algorithm iterative testing experiences such as in finance or pharmaceutical industries.
- Advertising background
- Statistical learning
- Data Mining
*Master*s degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
*Strong communicator (written and verbal)
*Ability to work as a team member and independently organizing and planning projects
*Strong interest in learning and growing
*Motivated by quality and excellence, especially in the area of execution
*Enjoys working in a dynamic environment
*Strong work ethic. The ability to get things done in an emerging, high-growth company
*Smart, creative, energetic, conscientious, and enthusiastic person with strong problem solving skills
